Graduate recital

Back in November, I did my graduate recital. Overall, it went...OK, lol! I tend to be my own worst critic, so it was probably better than I think it was. Still, I would have liked for it to be even better.

However, when I take into account that what it took for me to even get to the point of getting a Master's Degree at this time in my life, I have to admit, I am quite proud of the results. I made quite a bit of progress during my time in school, and I enjoyed my pieces.

I particularly enjoyed a piece by an American Composer named William Grant Still. It was by far my favorite. I decided to post that, as well as another Beethoven Sonata...I thought my performances of these two pieces were the best.

Spring has sprung! Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata...

This is where I will share some of my personal musical journey with you. I will include recordings, videos, articles, etc.

First up, in honor of Spring!

The following is a recording of me playing Beethoven Sonata No. 5 for Violin and Piano, famously known as the "Spring" sonata. It was recorded in June 2002. I was a guest artist for the pianist's degree recital. Enjoy!
