Welcome to Mining for Diamonds!
My name is Kimberly and I am a "multi-faceted diamond-in-the-rough.” On a daily basis, I am on a quest to unearth from the mines of this existence the treasures of faith, life and love. The various “facets” of my life include: wife, mother, musician, daughter, friend, sister. I love to write. I am a woman of deep faith and convictions. I have a very diverse perspective and view on the world and on matters of faith. I have been a missionary, a teacher, and a professional violinist. (I've been playing violin for over 30 years!) I have traveled the world...most of the places I've been to have been in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who I am very passionate about. This blog is about digging deep to find the treasures that God has for us in the land of the living. Sometimes we have to travel down far into the bowels of the mines of life (and sometimes our own hearts!) in order to find that treasure. We may get dirty, tired, and maybe even discouraged at times. But if we persevere, God promises that we will not be disappointed. There is treasure to be found, even in the darkest places.
In this blog, I will share some of my journey with you, past, present and future! Currently, my journey consists of honing my skills and finding my niche as a violinist and writer, solo parenting my tween daughter, and navigating a unique marriage to a spouse with serious mental health issues. My life has been, and continues to be, quite an adventure! I could not navigate through these facets of life without putting God first in every area. I’m not a preacher, but I pray that my life reflects the Light of Christ…kind of like a diamond…and that those who read my journey will desire to know not so much more of me, but more of Him. Thank you for accompanying me on my journey. My prayer is that you find your own buried treasures where you least expect!
